I have had the chance to work on this environment as part of a Futuregames level design assignment of the duration of 2 weeks.
I decided to work on a Star Wars level, and in particular on the planet "Tatooine". My main focus from the start was to create a playable map detailed map with a focus on lighting and a cinematic feeling.
I have drawn a very simple papermap with the layout of the village, then I sculpted the terrain using Terresculptor and I blocked out the level in Unreal. I have then started to work on the set dressing and composition.
The level could also be expanded into a multiplayer map due to the presence of multiple chokepoints and open combat areas.
